1939 LaSalle Series 39-50 Convertible Coupe

$47,500.00

The LaSalle was first introduced in 1927 by General Motors as a lower priced yet sportier counterpart to their flagship marque, Cadillac. Initial designs were penned by Harley Earl and each year the Lasalle line became even more handsome than the previous. In the early 1930's GM used Oldsmobile engines in the Lasalles, but in 1937 they decided to bring the LaSalle back to its Cadillac roots by giving them Cadillac V8's. Sadly 1940 became the last year for the LaSalle name as Cadillac decided to offer a car of similar price under the Cadillac name. The 1939 model year was one of the most iconic with its amazing long vertical grille and bullet shaped headlights on either side.

Offered here is one of these seldom seen 1939 LaSalles and in the sporty convertible coupe form. Offered from a private east coast collection, this car is in beautiful condition. Finished in dark green with a green interior, a very sharp color combination that compliments the car very well. The restoration is well done and the current condition is very nice. All of the brightwork is in great condition as is the paint. Mechanically it runs and drives very well and is ready for top down driving or showing. Contact us today for more information.
