1933 Packard Eight 1001 Coupe Roadster
In 1933 Packard offered their entry level cars as "the eight" on two different wheelbases, the shorter of the two at 127.5 inches was dubbed the 1001. Offered in four different body styles, one of which was the coupe roadster which was the sportiest of the bunch and with only 205 examples built, of which only 8 are known to exist today. The coupe roadster had the best look with its extremely low windshield and top giving it a "chopped" look. In 1933 the horsepower was increased to 120HP with the addition of a new downdraft manifold and dual throat downdraft carburetor. Today these are a rare sight indeed and one of the best looking Packards ever produced.
Offered here is one of the eight remaining 1933 1001 coupe roadsters that is just out of a single ownership since 1981. With a very recent body-off restoration this car is absolutely stunning. Finished in dark blue with silver accents and paired with chocolate leather interior which is a very tasteful combination. The car is equipped with dual side-mounted spare tires with metal covers, a single pilot ray driving light up front and all of it's original hard to find details. This car is a fantastic example and is ready to be driven and enjoyed and would be a wonderful car to show on the concours circuit. Contact us today for more information.
