1953 MG TD 1.8 Liter

The MGTD was introduced in 1950 and had some major upgrades over its older TC sibling. Features such as an independent front suspension, hypoid rear axle and hypoid gearbox really made the driving experience much more enjoyable. TD’s were very popular especially in the U.S., many making there way onto the road racing circuit around the country.

The TD offered here is a later production 1953 model, but a very special one at that with some incredible mechanical upgrades making this one of the best TD’s out there. On the outside this car looks like a wonderfully restored 1953 TD finished in light cream with a green leather interior, tan canvas top and color keyed green wire wheels, but mechanically this is an entirely different animal. Fitted with a 1.8 liter MGB engine and gearbox as well as a webber downdraft carburetor and MGB front disc brakes, this TD is an amazing car to drive and incredibly fast.
