1958 Austin-Healey 100-6 BN6 Roadster

- Description
The Austin-Healey is one of the most iconic British Sports cars ever built and one of the most beautiful at that. Beginning production in 1953 with the iconic 100-4, Austin-Healey's 4 cylinder model proved to be extremely popular for both road and racing purposes. After a while Donald Healey just couldn't squeeze any more power out of his trusty Austin 4 cylinder so he upgraded to a straight six cylinder overhead valve Austin unit with twin SU H6 carburetors producing 130 horsepower, a huge upgrade from the previous 4 cylinder engine. The 100-6 proved to be extremely popular becoming the basis for the iconic 3000 to follow and the rest was history.
This 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 BN6 two-seater is one of only 3,900 examples originally built. Healey offered both a BT6 with 4 seats and the BN6 with two seats and a shorter cockpit. Far fewer BN6's were produced and are far more sought after because of their sportier and sleeker configuration of its easily tuned SU H6 carburetors, six-cylinder power and the classic elegance of the earlier 100-4 two-seater body configuration. Overall this is an extremely nice car that had a body off restoration about 15 years ago. Today it still shows very well and is very handsome in its colors of soft blue with a white cove. The Interior is color coded to match the exterior with white seats with blue piping. Mechanically it runs and drives very well and was just treated to a mechanical service including all new wheel cylinders, master cylinder and brake lines. This is a fantastic Healey BN6 that is worthy of any sports car collection or for open road top down driving. Contact us today for more information.
