1957 Dodge Power Wagon

- Description
Introduced in 1945, Rugged and durable, the Dodge Power Wagon gave all other trucks on the market notice that they didn't have a chance to come even close to its robust design. Hence the name "Power Wagon," it just tells you that it means business. People looking for the ultimate in “go anywhere, do anything” capabilities turned to Power Wagons. Presented in fresh green and black paint with a proper interior, this one’s the result of a frame-off restoration that was done extremely well. Powered by the 230 CI M37 inline 6-cylinder engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, a Hi-Lo range 4-wheel drive transfer case with PTO helps the Power Wagon go pretty much anywhere you point it. Everything was rebuilt and it runs and drives extremely well, ready for any terrain. During the restoration, the original bed was completely stripped and restored with new wood replaced in the floor; meanwhile, the interior was completely taken back to 1957. This truck is also complete with its original bumper mounted winch, new cable is included with the truck. While the tires look unbeatable, the truck also carries a side-mounted spare tire with it, just in case. Detailed throughout, even the undercarriage, chassis, engine and engine bay are very tidy. Like so many amazing pieces of machinery, the Power Wagon largely owes its existence to World War II, when Dodge provided the military with multi-purpose vehicles of a larger, heavier stature to accomplish bigger jobs. Returning G.I.s often remembered well the incredible durability of the Power Wagon, wanting one of their own, and Dodge responded. One of the most versatile vehicles ever built, the Power Wagon could be custom tailored to suit any job or personality it needed to—from a pickup to a station wagon there was a Power Wagon for anyone or any task, making it possible for anyone to be prepared to do anything or go anywhere. If you are looking for the ultimate vintage truck, look no further.
