1942 Chevrolet 1 1/2 Ton Pickup Short Chassis

- Description
In 1937 Chevrolets truck lineup was completely redesigned and became one of the most handsome trucks to ever leave General Motors factories. The streamline styling can be compared to or said to be influenced by high speed locomotives of the 1930's. The power plant was upgraded to a more powerful 78 horsepower inline overhead valve six cylinder which is nearly indestructible. 1942 would be the last year for this art deco styling and would be cut short because of WWII. The 1 1/12 ton trucks were very reliable and used hard because they were so indestructible. Because of their utilitarian purpose, today it is very hard to find one in restored and well kept condition. On top of that, most of these trucks were ordered as a long chassis making them even bigger than they already were. A 1942 short chassis 1 1/12 ton truck is the ultimate.
