The flathead V8 Ford was introduced in 1932 and the rest is history. It instantly became one of the most popular cars in the world, not only because of its low price, but because of its amazing style and very powerful 85 horsepower engine that could outrun any car on the road at the time. Each year from 1932 on, the Ford was given a facelift but for the 1935 model year it was drastic with more modern sleek round fender design, completely redesigned dashboard and a completely new modern body design. 1935 is one of the most sought after years, having the sleek art deco design with a rakish windshield and being the last year Ford would offer wire wheels making the open 1935 cars some of the most desirable and best looking flathead Fords ever produced.
Offered here is a very original 1935 Ford Phaeton that has just been found after a long slumber in a garage in Connecticut and has had just two owners from new, the most recent ownership being almost 80 years! Purchased new in Connecticut in 1935, the car was retained by its original owner until 1943 when it was brought to a shop for service. Unfortunately the original owner never returned to pay his bill or pick up the car so it was sold to its previous owner in Trumbull, Connecticut where it would stay until our acquisition of the car very recently. Since we have owned the car we have serviced it mechanically, rebuilding the carburetor, new gas tank and giving it a tune up. It runs and drives great. It was also treated to a detailing of the paint and original upholstery as well as a new tan canvas top. If you are looking for a survivor 1935 Ford Phaeton, than it doesn't get much better than this. Contact us today for more information.
