  • Description

In 1928 the Model A Ford was introduced to the world and became instantly popular with the public. After an 18 year run of the Model T, this was a big step forward for Ford. Unlike the Model T, the Model A had a conventional 3 speed manual gearbox and had an overall more modern design. Better described as being more luxurious than the old Model T, and for a low price. The engine was still a flathead four cylinder L-head engine, but now with almost double the horsepower of a T and a water pump. The 1928 and 1929 model years looked almost identical, but for the 1930 Model year Ford gave his Model A a facelift making it even more appealing than ever before. A taller and more modern radiator, swoopier fenders, smaller wire wheels, redesigned stainless headlamps and a redesigned dash making the 1930 and 1931 Model A's the most sought after model years.

THIS CAR, a 1930 Model A Deluxe Roadster is a wonderful example of Henry's Model A. An original roadster with dual side mounted spares, rumble seat, trunk rack and quail radiator mascot, this Model A has got it all. Overall a very solid car not showing any signs of ever having rust or rust repair and mechanically it runs and drives extremely well. Cosmetically it wears an older restoration with paint showing some age in places, but overall shows very well. The upholstery is done very nicely and done to correct factory specification. A very well kept and good looking roadster that is ready for top down driving or for show. Contact us today for more information.
