1929 Buick Master Six Coupe

- Description
Buick has always been a very well built, good quality car from its very beginnings under the General Motors stewardship of William C. Durant. 1914 marked the first year Buick would offer a six cylinder engine and actually for a period in the 1920's Buicks lineup would consist entirely of six cylinder models. Beginning in 1925 Buick introduced its first overhead valve six producing 50 horsepower, while the larger Master Six came with a larger 70 horsepower unit. The two models were restyled for 1926 and given larger engines of 207 and 274 cubic inches respectively and continued almost unaltered throughout 1927. For this season. In 1928, however, Buick caught the eye of Harley Earl who contributed greatly to the beautiful styling and great success of General Motors in this period. He began with LaSalle and then Cadillac for the post 1928 models. For the 1929 Buick Lineup Mr. Earl would transform Buick and take it to a whole new styling level.
